Are You Getting Hurt? Ergonomics for Office Workers – Presentation or Work-Shop

Poor work-station design can cause pain, injury, and decreased productivity. After weeks, months, and years the poor design can take a toll on the body and mind with chronic injuries. There are simple, inexpensive things that can be done to improve the comfort and efficiency of an office work-station. Raising the computer monitor, adjusting the chair, moving the computer monitor in front of the worker, and adjusting the keyboard are just a few simple variations that can be done to help a worker feel better in his or her work-station. Join Dr. Mike for this practical and directly applicable session to learn how a work-station can be improved for more comfort and productivity.

Mike Bracko will present a “user friendly” approach to implementing a 5-minute exercise program on the shop/office floor. Come join Mike Bracko talk about the exciting area of occupational physiology and how it relates to health, safety, AND improved performance in the workplace. Mike will discuss the most pressing issues in industry including: back injury prevention, performance enhancement, improved well-being, and the culture of behavior change.

Work-Station Stretching for Injury Prevention and Improved Productivity – Presentation or Work-Shop

Stand up . . . stretch those tired and sore muscles . . . feel better!! We’re talking about 4 stretches in 1-2 minutes. Work-station stretching has been found to reduce acute muscle pain, helps workers feel refreshed, and can improve productivity. The emerging evidence suggests that office workers, and other sedentary workers, have an “activity” break 3 – 5 times a day. When done individually, or with a group of co-workers, work-station stretching can add a new and exciting injury prevention/performance enhancement element to the work place.

Back Injury Prevention for Drivers - Presentation

Drivers are at risk for back injuries. This session helps drivers, managers, and safety pro’s to understand how back injuries occur and how to prevent them from occurring. These exercises can be done before and after a drive, in the cab, and in the sleeper.
